In March 2023, AllAces was contacted by Gartner Rose to undertake the high-profile restoration and extensive mould remediation of Sydney’s Parliament House.
The heritage-listed building required extreme care and attention to detail to protect the heritage-listed wallpaper and polished French oak timber throughout. Our IICRC-certified technicians were called in to handle the growing mould infestation, returning Parliament House to its pre-loss condition.
The team jumped into action, beginning the mould remediation effort by HEPA vacuuming all affected areas, curtains, bookcases, and staircases. Air scrubbers and hydroxyl machines were then installed to filter mould spores and avoid the risk of cross- contamination throughout the building.
Stage 2 saw a top-down treatment with antimicrobial chemicals, including touchpoints, lights, building surfaces, doors, both staircases and landings.
Finally, containment barriers were installed after the mould remediation works to maintain the health and air quality of the building.
After only 3 days on-site, 5 specialist technicians and a combined 128 man-hours, Sydney’s Parliament House was restored to a safe and healthy environment with a successful mould remediation. The high-profile project saw the AllAces specialists perform with professionalism, attention to detail and exceptional results.
