4 Steps to Vinyl Floor Strip and Seal Cleaning Process

Assessment and Existing Sealant Strip Removal

We assess your vinyl to identify its condition, then apply a specialised stripping solution to remove the old sealant and built-up dirt, preparing the surface for restoration.

Deep Cleaning

After stripping, we thoroughly clean the exposed vinyl to remove all remaining contaminants, ensuring the floor is neutral, clean, and ready for sealing.

Fresh Sealant Coating

Once the floor is dry, we apply high-quality sealant layers designed to protect against wear, staining, and moisture while enhancing the overall durability of the vinyl.

Buff / Polish Finishing

To complete the process, we buff or polish the freshly sealed floor, restoring a clean, glossy finish that is easier to maintain and extends the surface’s life.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I got my campervan back from a mechanic who ended up returning it with a rat infestation. After having to get an exterminator, the team at All Aces were SO quick to fit me in for a thorough biohazard/forensic decontamination & clean, I got my van back completely spotless from the horrendous condition it was returned in - not only did they fit me in ASAP but their invoice ended up so much more affordable than previous quotes I was getting for a couple weeks wait! Cannot thank them enough, Bella was so lovely and incredibly helpful as well as the rest of the team! A++++ from me

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I highly recommend All Aces! After a renovation nightmare, I engaged them for silica dust reconciliation, and they were outstanding. Javier and his colleague (I’m so sorry that I’ve forgotten your name!!!) provided exceptional 5-star customer service. Javier’s communication throughout the clean was thorough and excellent, and they were incredibly efficient, leaving the space completely spotless. On top of their professionalism, they were just genuinely nice people. The great experience started right from the beginning—the man who initially quoted the job and Isabella in the office were both fantastic to deal with. Overall, a wonderful, professional company.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This is the second time I have used AllAces for the company I work for and both times they have been excellent in their work.

As a facilities manager I deal with a lot of contractors on a day-to-day basis. I often find communication is weak point for most contracted work, however, this is not the case with AllAces. From the get-go I had consistent and clear updates from admin through to the technicians.

The standard of work the technician produced when rectifying an emergency mould clean at my company was incredible. The positive attitude of all employees was like none-other and the admin team, specifically Louie, was overly accommodating.

I will not hesitate to use or recommend this company the employees.

Thank you AllAces.

Frequently Asked Questions

Our team are just a phone call away if we haven’t answered all your questions here.

What does stripping a vinyl floor mean?

Stripping is the process of removing existing sealant from the floor prior to applying a new coat.

Why should I reseal my vinyl floors?

Resealing protects your floors from scratches, stains, moisture, and general wear. It also restores shine, improves durability, and makes everyday cleaning much easier.

What are the benefits of strip and seal cleaning for vinyl floors?

Strip and seal cleaning removes old sealant, dirt, and grime from vinyl floors, then applies a new layer of sealant. This process not only enhances the appearance of the floors, giving them a glossy, new look, but also protects them from wear and tear, scratches, and staining, ultimately extending the floor’s lifespan.

Vinyl or linoleum floors that appear worn, scratched, dull, or have old, failing sealant benefit most from this service. It’s ideal for both homes and commercial spaces with heavy foot traffic.

Can stains be removed during the cleaning and sealing process?

Many stains can be removed during stripping and deep cleaning, especially if they haven’t fully set. We assess the floor first and advise on what level of stain removal is possible.

How often should vinyl floors be resealed?

Floors in high-traffic areas often need resealing every 1–2 years. Residential floors with moderate use may only need resealing every few years, depending on wear and maintenance habits.

Do I need to move furniture before the service?

Yes, clearing the area allows us to perform the service thoroughly. We can help with lighter items if needed, just let us know when booking.

Are the chemicals used during the stripping and sealing process safe for pets and children?

Once the sealer is completely dry and fully cured, the floor is 100% safe for both children and pets. During the active stripping and application process, the products used can have a strong odor. We ensure the area is well-ventilated, but we ask that pets and family members stay out of the immediate work zone until the floors are dry.

How should I clean and maintain my floor after it has been stripped and sealed?

To keep your newly sealed floor looking its best, sweep or vacuum regularly to remove abrasive dirt and grit. Clean up spills immediately, and damp mop weekly using a neutral pH floor cleaner. Strictly avoid using harsh chemicals, bleach, ammonia, or abrasive scrubbing pads, as these will break down the protective seal.
