Restoring Parquetry Flooring

Restoring Parquetry Flooring

Parquetry flooring is one of the most difficult types of timber flooring to restore. However, at AllAces Cleaning & Restoration we are here to help you restore your parquetry flooring after water damage has occurred. A lot of people think that once parquetry floor is wet, it needs to be replaced. This can be a costly exercise, however AllAces have the experience and knowledge to save your flooring.

Our Process

The main reason that parquetry floors are difficult to dry is because of the way that the timber is laid. The timber is laid in all directions, so it makes it much trickier for the water to get drawn away from the timber as it is getting pulled in more than one direction.

We were able to save the floor by installing structural drying equipment. We install drying mats with high-speed air movers and a Drymatic boost box. Sometimes in open areas it is necessary to install plastic zip walls to isolate the wet areas and promote the drying process.

If you have parquetry flooring that has been affected by water damage, you should call a professional to deal with your problem. Call AllAces Cleaning & Restoration on 1800 00 1010.
