Parquetry flooring is one of the most difficult timber floors to restore. However at AllAces Cleaning & Restoration we are here to help you restore your parquetry flooring after a water damage. A lot of people would think that once a parquetry floor is wet, it would need to be replaced. This can be a costly exercise, but we have the experience and the knowledge to be able to save the floor.
We got a call from a customer living at Hope Island on the Gold Coast who had water damage on their parquetry flooring. We were more than happy to help.
The main reason why parquetry floors are difficult to dry is because the way the timber is laid. The timber is laid in all directions, so it makes it trickier for the water to get drawn away from the timber as it is getting pulled in more than one direction.
We were able to save the floor by installing top-of-the-range structural drying equipment. You can see from the second picture that we installed drying mats with high speed air movers and a Drymatic boost box.
Sometimes in open areas it is necessary to install plastic zips walls to isolate the wet areas to promote the drying process.
So next time you have parquetry flooring that has been affected by water damage, you should call AllAces Cleaning & Restoration on 1800 00 10 10.
