Mapleton is located at the northern end of the Blackall Range and overlooks the sweeping coastal towns with magnificent views. There are so many things to see in Mapleton with a number of museums, art and craft galleries, pottery and antique stores. You can buy Queensland local fresh fruit and vegetables from the side of the road and there are a number of restaurants and cafes to stop at and have a drink or a meal. A short drive further west is Mapleton Falls National Park. From the viewing platform you can see Pencil Creek spectacularly cascade 120 metres over the escarpment into the Mary Valley.
