In December 2023, AllAces received a request from one of our commercial clients to address mould removal and remediation on exposed building surfaces and affected wooden frames at a property located in Lysterfield, Victoria.
Before commencing any work, we conducted comprehensive mould surface sampling. Upon completion of the remediation process, we re-tested all areas to ensure thorough mould removal. The exposed mould-affected frames were treated and manually agitated using industry-grade mould removal chemicals. Throughout the entire project, containment barriers were in place to prevent any cross-contamination.
As part of our comprehensive AllAces Mould Remediation and Reporting package, we finalised a comprehensive completion report. This report included the laboratory test results to verify the effectiveness of the mould removal process.
Professional mould removal is essential for several reasons:
Health Concerns: Mould can have adverse effects on human health. Certain types of mould release mycotoxins that can lead to respiratory problems, allergies, skin irritation, and other health issues. Professionals are equipped to handle mould safely, reducing health risks.
Thorough Removal: Mould can hide in hard-to-reach places, and DIY attempts may not fully eliminate it. Professionals have the expertise and equipment to locate and remove all mould, preventing its regrowth.
Preventing Spread: Mould spores are microscopic and easily spread through the air. Professionals use containment measures to prevent the mould from spreading to unaffected areas during removal.
Identifying Underlying Issues: Professionals can identify the root cause of the mould issue, such as leaks or humidity problems. Addressing these underlying issues is crucial to preventing future mould growth.
Effective Treatment: Professionals use specialised chemicals and equipment to ensure mould is effectively treated and removed. DIY methods may not be as effective in mould eradication.
Compliance: In some cases, local regulations may require professional mould removal for safety and environmental reasons. Hiring professionals ensures compliance with such regulations.
Insurance: If you’re dealing with a mould issue covered by insurance, hiring professionals can provide the documentation and evidence needed for successful insurance claims.
Overall, professional mould removal ensures occupants’ safety, prevents further property damage, and provides a long-lasting solution to mould problems.
