Car Interior Cleaning after Spilled Sour Milk

“There’s no use crying over spilled milk…” well that is not the case for many of our customers. One of our customers delivered us a BMW that had a terrible smell under the front passenger seat due to spilled milk.

The car was immediately inspected upon arrival to our Murarrie-based factory. Upon inspection, he found that milk had made its way onto the speaker under the passenger seat. The speaker had been ruined and, unfortunately, meant that it would need to be replaced. Maggots were also found between the metal subfloor and foam underlay. We applied insecticide to kill the maggots and any left-over substances that the maggots had left behind.

The metal subfloor and foam underlay of the car were both cleaned with an active enzyme cleaner. A hot water extraction of the foam was repeated 3 times to make sure that all the sour milk was removed. The car was then placed into our state-of-the-art drying chamber and a hydroxyl unit and air movers were placed in the car and left over the weekend to ensure that all the bad smells were removed. We returned the BMW to its owner with a completely dry, cleaned, fresh smell interior.
