All Aces Cleaning & Restoration had a valued customer bring five rugs into our factory recently from Bribie Island. The rugs belonged to a family friend who had sadly past away. These rugs were over 50 years old and worth as much as $8,000 each.
Antique Rug Cleaning Process
When the rugs arrived at our factory they were inspected to address any main concerns, issues or potential problems. Once enough information has been gathered, our thorough cleaning process began. The Rug Badger is used to ensure the most thorough removal of sand, dirt and allergens from each of the rugs. Due to the age and extent of soiling in each of these rugs, it was our best option of extracting as much soiling as possible. A thorough vacuum was then carried out to ensure nothing was left behind before spraying the rugs entirely with a specialised cleaning solution and left to rest a while.
The rugs were then cleaned using a tool that both applies clean water for rinsing and extracts dirty water simultaneously. The rugs are then placed in our state of the art, humidity controlled drying room surrounded by high speed air movers to dry thoroughly. Once dried the rugs all get one last vacuum and are groomed to complete the process.
When our client arrived back to the factory to collect the rugs for her friend she was beside herself. The rugs came up absolutely beautifully and she couldn’t thank us enough for a job well done.
Never say never when it comes to your valued rugs. They are in caring and experienced hands always with All Aces Cleaning & Restoration.
